“For a few years already, Olivia had an album of poses & styles she liked ready, anticipating the day senior pictures would come. Every photo saved from various photographers was beautiful and we probably would have been satisfied with any of them, but it was easy to pick out the ones that stood out most to us, and left us intrigued to see more. McCartney’s was the obvious choice. 

What wasn’t so obvious to me, especially as a mom of our first child getting pictures taken like this, was that a senior photo session is far more than taking the photo…it is truly an experience from start to finish. 

I was so impressed with the level of preparation that McCartney’s put into preparing for Olivia’s photo shoots. When the day of her shoot arrived, I was filled with emotion because my baby girl was being photographed as a senior. Butch & Kelsy kept me laughing and smiling the whole time. I wasn’t thinking about time gone by but rather about a bright future for the girl behind the lens. 

I was in awe of their fluidity to which they worked through each shot, each scene, each clothing change. Every little detail from the angle of the sun to anticipating a breeze gently blowing her hair all was accounted for. They even thought of little things like something for Olivia to sit on before she would sit on a concrete bench and snag her dress. I didn’t have a thing to worry about as a mom and I could just sit back and watch how effortlessly they captured my daughter’s personality. 

In the end, I guess I was a bit naïve to think that we were simply buying a package of photos. We were investing in far more than that when we confidently signed on with McCartney’s. Because of them, the investment has paid greater dividends than we ever expected, and we will forever be grateful to the McCartney‘s for the beautiful work they produced, the beautiful friendships they brought together, and the beautiful soul they unveiled behind the lens with our daughter. “Prior to my senior year, I was able to see many senior pictures of friends and family.   The majority were predictable and typical run of the mill senior photos.  A few of these were the stand out portraits among them all.  Alas, I discovered the HOLY GRAIL of photographers….The McCartneys!  My search was over when I was a sophomore.  From the moment I booked with The Mc Cartneys, they guided me through the best colors and styles to wear and asked careful questions about the locations and specific ideas that I had (one of mine was by a willow tree).  It was also important to me to look natural and  polished, but not overdone with hair/makeup, as that is not me….and they delivered!  Their guidance through this process, along with a keen eye for detail, a super light-hearted and fun nature, made my senior pictures a seamless success.  My only advice is to book very early to reserve your date, as I booked in March and there were only a few dates left open to book for September.  Thank you Kelsy and Butch for a day I will truly never forget!  I couldn’t be happier with my photos 😊”

“We first met the McCartneys through our older daughter, in 2016. They had taken pictures at some bigger events (Prom, Junior Girls, Homecoming).
